about choices
Choices is a retail bookstore on East 78th Street in Manhattan that has been in business for nineteen years. Since purchasing the store in June 2002, we have been working with a very diverse population looking for a better way of life through psychology, natural healing, nutrition, philosophy, spirituality, creativity, meditation and education. We are also the only store in Manhattan that deals with recovery from addictions such as alcoholism, drug addiction, sex addiction, food addiction and codependency.
Choices is one of the oldest retail stores with a focus on addictions in the country. It began with only addiction recovery in mind, but our expansion to physical, mental and spiritual wellness has been helping many more people each day. Our employees have personal experience and training in these areas and offer customers the highest level of service to help them find the right resources for their needs.

The present aim of Choices is to create a center for self-improvement resources serving people of various lifestyles. We hope to create a serene and peaceful experience. Our upcoming stores will not only have books and gifts, but also allow us to conduct weekly seminars, book signings and workshops to help educate and enlighten our customers.
Our staff are trained and experienced in the fields of recovery and wellness, making us a destination resource not only for the products people can buy, but also for the knowledge and support we can provide. Upcoming store designs will emphasize environmentally progressive and healthy interiors, using green building materials and working with specialized designers to create a comfortable oasis for our customers to enjoy.
